This axe features a hand forged, hair popping sharp head fit to an exemplary 15'' flamed hickory handle.

The Viking Camp Axe has a different edge grind than the Viking Carving Axe. The camp axe is ground with a convex edge, more suitable for all-around use whereas the carving axe has a flat grind, better suited for carving. The convex edge takes less time to grind, therefore costs less.
